Woodthorpe Chardonnay 2002 will continue to develop in the bottle for 2-4 years from harvest.
Total acidity as tartaric: 6.9g/l
Residual sugar: Dry
Woodthorpe Chardonnay 2002 was made using the best of New and Old World winemaking techniques to combine Hawkes Bay chardonnay’s rich fruit characters with the complexity of barrel fermentation. After whole cluster pressing and cold settling the juice was barrel and tank fermented, and then underwent malolactic fermentation prior to blending and bottling in mid October.
Woodthorpe Chardonnay 2002 is a single vineyard wine made from Mendoza clone chardonnay. The low cropped grapes were hand harvested from our Woodthorpe vineyard from the 19th to the 24th March.
Sourced exclusively from Te Mata Estate’s own vineyards, the estate vineyards wines are blended to represent the best qualities of their variety, vintage, and Hawke’s Bay origin.
